Dr. Hanks has created the stuff of daydreams for kids all over the Salt Lake City area. From start to finish, his practice was designed with the patient in mind. It features private hygiene rooms complete with “mother’s lounges” off treatment rooms, and it wraps up at a basketball court, where kids can shoot hoops while parents discuss the intricacies of treatment plans without worrying about keeping their kids occupied or missing important details. In addition, Dr. Hanks founded the Happy Tooth Foundation, a nonprofit charity dedicated to assisting families in need. At home, he’s an involved father and husband, sports fanatic and car-radio karaoke enthusiast.
