Why She Was Nominated

Dr. Meyer loved going to the dentist as a kid, and she has established her suburban Denver practice to be the same way she remembers that practice being run: open, welcoming and focused on listening carefully to patients.

Inspiration

Her shop teacher in junior high school told her she was very skilled with her hands. When she told him she wanted to be a dentist, he was great about encouraging her to pursue the profession.

Favorite Aspect of Dentistry

Meeting new patients. “I always make sure to remember something about patients for the next time they visit,” she says, “to show them that they made an impression on me.”
