Why She Was Nominated

She’s a multilingual dentist in a state-of-the-art office that has grown rapidly in the year since it opened.

Inspiration

A native Vietnamese speaker, Dr. Bui began her career as a sophomore in high school, filing papers for her orthodontist and translating for Vietnamese patients. The experience piqued her interest, and with the community clinic for Tufts just down the street, she decided early where she would study.

Favorite Aspect of Dentistry

Seeing a clear result after a procedure. “Patients smile more after their teeth are more in alignment.”

Tool She Can't Live Without

She likes to educate her patients, so a digital camera is crucial. “A picture is worth a thousand words,” she says. “When patients see [the digital image], they usually decide to go with the treatment.”
