WHY SHE WAS NOMINATED:

Because of her devotion to providing compassionate, quality care to her patients. She has dedicated her life to both working with and volunteering for underserved populations in Southern California. She is also an adjunct professor at her alma mater.

INSPIRATION:

“My family has inspired, influenced and supported my decision to become a dentist. My mentor in community health, specifically, is Dr. Irvin B. Silverstein. As the director and adviser of the UCSD clinics and pre-dental society, he has shown many students the importance of serving the underserved and broadening access to care.”
