Why He Was Nominated

The leading young dentist in the Raleigh area is developing a new location downtown. Armed with his AEGD, Dr. Wells does implants and oral surgery without referring patients elsewhere.

Inspiration

Dr. Wells fell in love with dentistry while doing what he calls an “externship” in high school.

Favorite Part of the Profession

Unlike many of his peers, Dr. Wells likes business. “I really enjoy the ownership and management aspects of owning a dental practice.”

Biggest Challenge

The occasional unreasonable, unruly patient. “Dismissing this small percentage of my practice makes everyone’s life a lot better.”
