Dr. Cameron updated to high-tech dentistry a small community of 1,700 when she took over the office of Carnegie’s elderly dentist after he passed away. She is the only dentist within 25 miles, but with the advanced technology she has in her practice, patients have little need to go elsewhere.
Her intraoral camera and LCD screens. Using those images, she notes, makes it far easier to educate patients so they’ll accept each step of treatment.
Juggling work and family. This spring, Dr. Cameron gave birth to her daughter, Katie Lee — and the three weeks she spent on bed rest before delivery were stressful. “I wanted to know what was going on with my patients,” she says. Fortunately, her staff kept everything in impeccable shape.
When Dr. Cameron was 14, she sang Patty Loveless’s “Timber I’m Falling in Love” at the Oklahoma Opry.
