The Broadheads are a brother-sister team who have used their dual expertise to create a family practice that respects patients’ time. The best part of working with a sibling? “If I’m running behind and she can step in to help, she will,” Frederick says. Daisy concurs: “The boundaries of patients staying with one doctor don’t exist in our practice.”
For Daisy, it’s the impact she can have on people. “They come in, they’re frightened,” she says. “You help them; then they leave and tell everyone about your practice because they had such a good time.” Frederick loves that every day is different
depending on patients and their problems.
Daisy joined her brother’s practice in January and discovered a short time later that she was pregnant with her second child. Due in September, she’s trying to get her husband, a military officer, transferred to a base closer to her. She’s also searching for a new house and attempting to work every day until she goes into labor. “I’ve seen it done,” she says, “so I want to do it.”
Frederick bought his practice years ago, and the help he received from his Benco representative was invaluable, he says. Therefore, before buying your own practice, he advises, get a good consultant, because that person will help you figure out the most important questions to ask.
