Dr. Ward, who got into the profession by accident while helping a friend with dental-school lab work, is dedicated to personal care. “Unfortunately, our profession has evolved into a factory model,” he says. “I make sure I see one patient at a time.”
Implants. “It’s rewarding to give people a beautiful smile that they don’t have to take out and put by their bed at night,” says Dr. Ward, who does his own cosmetic wax-ups. “It gives me the ability to control more variables when I do them myself.”
He’s color-blind, which is sometimes challenging but often “extremely helpful,” such as when he’s shade matching.
