Why He Was Nominated

Dr. Haines, who is a student mentor at the Nash Institute for Dental Learning, has developed a family-friendly practice that relies on cutting-edge technology such as intraoral cameras, lasers and digital X-rays to provide the best dental outcomes possible. After 11 years in business, his ultimate goal remains the same: to ensure that when patients leave his office, they’ll tell their family and friends that it was the best dental visit they’ve ever had.

Inspiration

Dr. Haines grew up down the street from his family’s dentist and, during high school and college, worked for him over the summer and during Christmas vacation. That sparked the future doctor’s interest in the profession. “He talked me into becoming a dentist by showing me people whose lives he changed,” Dr. Haines says.

Favorite Aspect of Dentistry

“I used to want to be a dental guru. But now I just like taking really good care of my patients. We want people to feel like they’re in our house. We want to make them like coming to the dentist again.”
