Dr. Walker and her practice partner, Benjamin Thomas Halton, have admirably recovered from a fire that destroyed their practice in June 2014.

“Dentistry is not as easy as it may look,” Dr. Walker says. She should know: She and Dr. Halton had to put their practice back together after a devastating fire last year, while treating patients at a temporary facility. “There are many obstacles that need to be orchestrated seamlessly to prevent patients from losing confidence in you,” she says.
She knew she wanted to become a dentist when she was just 7 years old.
