DDS, University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio
Dr. Enriquez’s commitment to underserved communities led her to spend five years in community health clinics and, recently, to open her new dental practice (see page 74), the first of its kind in her small town, just outside San Antonio. Serving many emergency patients and military families, the practice is growing exponentially.
“Educate your patients about how to keep their teeth healthy from an early age.”
“My SybronEndo TF Adaptive root-canal system. It’s a specialized motor that helps keep the files from separating. It shortens treatment time and clears a path that helps me see more emergency patients sooner.”
Since she opened her practice earlier this year, Dr. Enriquez has seen an average of 75 new patients a month, so achieving a work-life balance can be a bit of a struggle. “When my husband gets off work, he comes to my office to help with my front-office tasks, like inputting insurance checks and running to the bank and post office,” she says. Then the couple must head
home to their two daughters, ages 11 and 5.
