The setting for this year’s 40 Under 40 photo extravaganza was lofty in every sense of the word: the TWA Hotel in JFK Airport’s Terminal 5. Ever seen dentists take flight?
THE DENTAL PROFESSION is on the ascent thanks to a boundless array of young clinical talent across the United States—a small fraction of which we celebrate in our annual 40 Under 40 (see page 24). This year that altitude adjustment wasn’t just metaphorical, as we invited the 2025 honorees to the stunning jet-set golden age period piece known as Terminal 5 at JFK Airport in Queens, New York. The glam photo shoot took place June 5 and 6 throughout the Midcentury Modern masterpiece; once all the primping and posing was done, everyone headed up to the TWA rooftop pool bar to nosh, sip, talk shop and cut loose. Conventional wisdom says no one likes air travel, sure—but pair a breathtaking venue with a group of hotshot doctors and just watch the festivites soar.
