DMD, University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine
WHY SHE WAS NOMINATED:
Dr. Khan purchased two small, failing practices in downtown Seattle in 2014. They were located in a building with more than a hundred other dentists; several hundred more could be found within a five-mile radius. Distinguishing herself with all the latest top dental technology, though, she worked hard and more than doubled her patient numbers in the first year alone.
FAVORITE ASPECT OF DENTISTRY:
“The ability to develop longterm relationships with patients to a point that they trust you to make decisions about their oral health.”
SOMETHING PEOPLE DON’T KNOW:
“I went through some very difficult personal circumstances growing up and while trying to get into a professional school. I thank God for giving me perseverance and faith back then and for making things eventually work out.”
