Why She Was Nominated:

WoodSprings Dentistry, the Houston-area practice Dr. Tejada owns and operates with her husband, James (see above), is making a name for itself as a leader in the latest technology and techniques. In their downtime, the Tejadas enjoy spending time with their two sons, Jaxon and Jace.

Why She Became a Dentist:

“Having had extensive dental work done myself, I know what it feels like to not like your smile. I would constantly hide my smile, and this affected my confidence. Orthodontic and cosmetic treatment changed my life. I wanted to share it with other people and help them achieve what I was able to.”

Inspiration:

“Dr. Philip Koury. He was the first dentist I worked for after graduating dental school. I feel so lucky to have spent three years at his office. He’s an outstanding dentist and a great person overall. He treated every patient like family. I learned endless amounts of dental techniques and even gained some knowledge about running a business and dealing with insurance. I hope to be as good as he is one day.”
