Why He Was Nominated:

As dental director for the largest community health center in Minnesota, Dr. Brooks, along with a team of 10 doctors, eight hygienists, 18 LDAs and eight support staff, serves more than 22,000 patients a year, many of whom lack insurance. His practice is part of a multispecialty medical, dental and behavioral human-services agency. Additionally, he serves as adjunct faculty member at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, often hosting students in his clinic.

Post-Pandemic Plans:

“Develop a pipeline program with local middle schools, high schools, colleges and universities. This is imperative given the disparities of racial representation in this field.”
