Dr. Matrullo and Associates
Family dentistry
DMD, Tufts University School of Dental Medicine
Dr. Matrullo finished dental school as part of the International College of Dentists’ honor society. His work ethic is impressive: He works six days a week, opening up shop at 7:30 most mornings.
“Get a mentor. Find somebody who has a practice philosophy that parallels your own, and be that person’s shadow. If they take two steps left, you take two steps left. Become that person’s best friend, and pick that person’s brain, especially if that person has 20 years in the industry — because there’s a lot that they don’t teach you in dental school.”
Dr. Matrullo makes wine. In his backyard you’ll find grapevines, an overgrown pear tree, half a dozen apple trees, a peach tree and a plum tree. His garden boasts tomatoes, cucumbers, several varieties of lettuce, green beans, peppers and eggplant. He and his family make jelly, relishes and tomato sauces from their garden.
