Dr. Harris spent five years as a general dentist, four of them in the Air Force, so he has experience with all kinds of patients. “Even though most of the time I see a patient only once, I spend time getting to know them and putting them at ease,” he says. “Root canals do not have a good reputation, so most patients are pretty worked up when they arrive, and I spend time thoroughly explaining the procedure and answering questions.”
Cone Beam tomography. “It’s opening so many doors for diagnosis and treatment planning,” Dr. Harris says. “It has also proven to be very useful in explaining to patients why they might require a certain procedure.”
Dr. Harris makes stained glass and has a couple of pieces on display in the Fan District in Richmond, Virginia. A music enthusiast, he can also name just about any band that comes on the radio or Pandora.
