Why She Was Nominated

While in dental school, Dr. Barry was awarded the Delta Dental Student Leadership award and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry pre­doctoral student award for outstanding potential in pediatric dentistry. Now a board-certified pediatric dentist, she has traveled to Guatemala to treat underserved populations. 

Philosophy

“Dentistry does not have to be the scary experience many patients are afraid it is,” she says. “My favorite thing is when parents are shocked at how much their child looks forward to his or her visit.”

Tool She Can’t Live Without

“I’m so thankful someone invented it,” she says. “It’s efficient, and great for kids.”
