Having had braces as a child, Dr. Howell was fascinated by how her teeth straightened and her confidence increased. She realized that being an orthodontist was exactly what she wanted to do with her life. “I worked for my orthodontist for several summers,” she says, “which further convinced me that this was the field in which I wanted to work and help others.”
