Why He Was Nominated

six residents.

Inspiration

Growing up in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Dr. Lyssikatos spent summers visiting family in Greece. He grew close to one of his mother’s cousins, a dentist in a community outside of Athens. It inspired him to apply to both dental and medical schools. When he received his acceptance to NYU, he jumped at the opportunity.

Advice To Aspiring Dentists

“Continue for about three years as an associate,” he says. “Try different settings, from a community health clinic to an upscale practice.”

Something People Don't Know

For the last decade, Dr. Lyssikatos has collected antiquities, primarily ancient coins and oil lamps of Greek and Roman origin.
