The 2017 Edison Awards

THIS YEAR MARKED the thirtieth installment of the Edison Awards, which for three decades now have honored the most innovative new products (and their inventors) across a wide range of industries and specialties — including, for the last three years, dentistry. On April 20 at Manhattan’s elegant Capitale restaurant, more than 500 honorees and other luminaries gathered for the annual Edisons banquet and celebration.

This year’s three dental honorees were ECO Balance, by GLO Science; Holland Healthcare’s Throat Scope; and the Mobile True Definition Scanner, from 3M. Incisal Edge extensively covered this winning trio (as well as dozens of other nominated products) in our Spring 2017 issue; to read those features, visit IncisalEdgeMagazine.com, and for full Edison Awards coverage, please see TheDailyFloss.com. Here’s a look inside this year’s festivities.
